German Shepherd

German Shepherds are very active and intelligent dogs that fit well in working environments. They are often used in police work, search and rescue operations, therapy and military tasks. They can also be very good guards and guide dogs for blind people.

Humans also like the German Shepherds for their parts because apart from being great servants, they are also loyal and loving companions. They actually enjoy being around people and other animals as well.

Physically, they are large and sturdy dogs with double-coated fur which can either be long or short. Although their usual color is a mix of black and tan, they also come in other hues and patterns such as black and red, black and brown, black and silver, black and cream or blue and tan.
